Mavel,
as leader of a consortium with Energoprojekt - Warszawa s.a.,
will provide three Mavel horizontal pit Kaplan KP3400K3 turbines.
Each 3400 mm diameter turbine will be double regulated and have
three runner blades. Each turbine will use a gear box for connection
to a synchronous generator.
The Malczyce power plant site will have
flow of about 240 cms and head ranging from 4.2 to 6.4 meters.
The delivery will be over the next three years with commissioning
expected in May 2008. Installed power will be 9 MW.
Mavel is a Czech Republic-based manufacturing
and engineering company focusing on production of turbines for
hydro-electric power plants from 2 kW to 20 MW. Over the past
